About

DeWayne Street is not an activist and as such does not rely on manipulation or guilt.

DeWayne Street, owner of Midway Leadership Solutions has over 20 years of experience in the organizational dynamics field. With over 30,000 hours of practice, DeWayne Street is not an activist and as such does not rely on manipulation or guilt, but rather on the disciplines of adult education and United States history, of which he is an expert in both. Street’s work is informed and framed by data, which allows for solutions to be not only practicable, but also free of ideology, leading to sustainable solutions for all.

During his career, DeWayne Street has served at the highest levels of public education and state government, being named the first Chief of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Leander ISD (Office of Educational Access) and the first Chief Equity Officer for Round Rock ISD. Prior to this, Street served in the workforce development space in the corporate sector, was a correctional administrator and a K-12 classroom teacher. His consultancy extends back to 2001 and has included clients in education, government, and nonprofits.

Services

Reflective Practice Foundational Leadership Workshop

This 3-hour workshop provides the basic reflective practice foundation for leaders. A multimedia presentation and active learning session with tabletop exercises are designed to enhance leadership and cultural competency. A reflective practice questionnaire tool will end the session.

Executive Coaching

Midway Leadership Solutions will provide one-on-one coaching for organizational leaders focused on enhancing their inclusive leadership capacity. This will be provided primarily virtually, but with the opportunity for occasional in-person sessions. By providing coaching at the individual practitioner level, organizational competence will also be increased. This service is provided as episodic or as ongoing retainer-based sessions.

Internal Consulting

Midway Leadership is available as needed to assist with addressing and navigating inclusive leadership challenges. Midway Leadership Solutions will be there when your organization needs more immediate assistance. This service is provided as an episodic, ongoing retainer-based session, and is available either on-site or virtually.

Framework

The Midway Leadership Solutions framework is comprised of three elements:  Adult Education, United States History and Organizational Data. The hallmark of adult education is the respect exhibited by adult educators for the adult learner. DeWayne Street has a master’s degree in Adult Continuing Education plus 54 post-graduate credits.  He is an expert in creating adult learning spaces where every learner contributes to their own learning and to that of their organization.

To fully understand the complexity of the current leadership landscape, one must understand the complexities of U.S history. History should not be used as a weapon; rather, history should be used to provide perspective. DeWayne Street is an expert in U.S. history and uses this expertise to illuminate the arc that connects the past to the present in a way that inspires adult learners to shape the future.
